"The EU-Vietnam FTA will eliminate more than 99 percent of tariffs on originating goods. Upon entry into force of the agreement, Vietnam undertakes to abolish the customs tariff immediately for 65 percent of the products. Over the course of ten years, all other products will follow, with a few exceptions. The EU will abolish tariffs on 71 percent of products when the agreement enters into force.
