MACH, the international trade fair for machine tools and manufacturing technology, will take place April 3–7, 2028, at the NEC in Birmingham.

MACH 2026, the United Kingdom’s national event for inspiration, innovation, and networking in manufacturing, was once again hailed as a triumph. Thousands of visitors filled the five halls of the NEC in Birmingham during the week-long trade show in April. The 2026 edition of the trade show saw a 6 % increase in attendance, meaning the event’s total visitor count is rapidly approaching the 30,000 mark. Every day, the halls were filled with excitement and anticipation as exhibitors showcased their latest technology-driven manufacturing technologies and solutions, including exciting demonstrations and product launches.

MACH 2026, the UK’s national trade show for inspiration, innovation, and networking in the manufacturing industry, built on the strong momentum of the 2024 event and once again drew 26,000 visitors. This created a great atmosphere and energy at the show, with visitors taking advantage of the fantastic opportunity to network and explore all the great offerings at MACH 2026.

The trade show, which took place in April at the NEC in Birmingham, once again brought together the best of the British manufacturing and engineering industries and offered an impressive showcase of new machinery and advanced manufacturing technologies all under one roof. More than 500 exhibitors showcased cutting-edge solutions, live demonstrations, and new products, creating an exciting and forward-looking environment for manufacturers and engineers looking to invest in technologies that will shape the future of the industry.

MACH is organized by the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA), which includes a number of organizations, such as Engineering Supply Chain UK (ESCUK), Additive Manufacturing UK (AMUK), and MTA Training.

MACH is considered the industry-leading event for the British manufacturing sector and brought together suppliers of machine tools, cutting tools, measurement technology, additive manufacturing (3D printing), surface treatment, robotics and automation, sheet metal working, metal forming, and manufacturing technology, as well as specialized software. All of these areas play a key role in enabling and advancing the digital transformation of manufacturing.

The trade show offered visitors valuable opportunities to explore the benefits of using new technologies, as well as practical guidance on how to increase productivity, improve efficiency, and reduce operating costs. This was particularly important given the challenging economic conditions facing the British manufacturing sector.
